Castagna's unique product composition All Castagna_Collection western indians are cast from alabaster and resin. The alabaster, is reconstituted with a resinous binder and poured into molds. Once mixed, the raw materials undergo a chemical, thermal reaction, a reaction void of an external heat source. Hence, the technology of "Cold Cast" molding. Once dried, the castings are removed from the molds. It is at this point where the talent of dedicated artisans and craftsmen hand-finish each sculpture.Castagna toured the West and became enchanted with the land people and culture.
